The Amsterdam-Amstelland Safety Region (AA) is looking for a Data and Integration Specialist. As a Data and Integration Specialist, you will ensure that our systems work together seamlessly, that data flows securely, and that data connections are managed. Thanks to you, the organization can rely on accurate information.
Are you familiar with the world of Data & Information? Do you know how to use data connections, technology, and infrastructure to optimally support data-driven workflows and business processes? Are you able to connect with colleagues, inspire them, and deliver valuable data and information products? Then we’re looking for you!
As a Data and Integration Specialist, you are the driving force behind our digital backbone. You develop, improve, and monitor connections—such as APIs—between our systems and ensure a future-proof information landscape. You are responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the middleware layer that primarily connects our five core systems to our central data warehouse. Your work forms the backbone of our data-driven decision-making and enables teams to gain real-time insights through dashboards and reports.
With a strong background in either systems administration or application management, this IT professional brings valuable experience from a variety of industries. You combine in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, network technologies, and HR, financial, scheduling, and skills management applications with a proactive attitude and a keen eye for process optimization. Thanks to your experience in coordination and support within IT environments, you know how to efficiently manage our environments and effectively support your colleagues.
When interacting with suppliers, stakeholders, and end users, you maintain a strong focus on the setup, use, and improvement of the capabilities offered by system integrations—all to support business processes. You configure, monitor, and document the operation of these integrations, and are able to resolve any issues that arise. Colleagues from across the organization can come to you with questions. You are able to translate their needs into the system design and provide them with explanations, guidance, or advice so that they (continue to) see the added value. We rely heavily on all internal departments to do our work effectively.
Your versatility and hands-on approach make you a reliable asset for any team seeking a stable, forward-looking IT infrastructure. In other words: a robust and secure system of connections that supports data exchange and ensures business continuity.
At the Amsterdam-Amstelland Safety Region, you can work with a great team where you’ll have opportunities to grow in your role.
Hierarchically, this position reports to the Information Services (IV) Department Manager within the Information and Innovation (I&I) division. In terms of content, you will collaborate with both the I&I division and the Operations (BV) division. In addition, you will have frequent contact with (internal) stakeholders and the development team. You will collaborate with and often serve as a liaison between the information advisors, data specialists, colleagues within I&I, and the I&A department.
