The OBA is a safe, accessible organization open to all Amsterdammers. It is a place of inspiration, comfort, connection, storytelling, and personal growth. You’ll want to shout this from the rooftops. You’ll generate free publicity and engage key stakeholders with our organization so they know what’s going on and can help us spread the word.
You will be responsible for various corporate communications projects and will regularly coordinate with the corporate communications & PR team and the department head. You will oversee planning, objectives, and budget allocation. In addition, you will be responsible for producing a number of corporate communications deliverables, such as the management report and the stakeholder newsletter.
You will also be responsible for proactive and reactive media relations. This includes sending out press releases, drafting media plans, answering questions from journalists, preparing one-on-one interviews, and maintaining and expanding a relevant network of media contacts.
You will be part of the Corporate Communications & PR team, which is responsible for corporate communications, PR, reputation management, media relations, labor market communications, and crisis communications. The team is also responsible for internal communications within the OBA. After all, our own people are our best ambassadors. The team connects the various branches, identifies needs, and provides support for various communication issues at the neighborhood level.
The team consists of an internal communications specialist and a corporate communications & public affairs specialist. It is one of four teams within the Marketing & Communications department. You will achieve your goals through close collaboration with your colleagues in the areas of brand management, branch communications, corporate communications, activation, content, online marketing, and internal communications. The Marketing & Communications department consists of 12 FTEs. You will receive substantive guidance from the coordinator, who reports to the head of the Marketing & Communications Department.
