Within the department, you will focus on the areas of Fertilizers, Crop Protection, Nature, Fish Sustainability, and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). What will you be doing?
As a Coordinating Specialist Advisor for Nature and the Environment, you will focus on overarching tasks related to the areas of Fertilizers, Crop Protection, Nature, Fisheries Sustainability, and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). These areas all fall under the Public Interest in Nature & the Environment.
You will prepare for meetings with the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LVVN) and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), as well as with internal and external stakeholders, and discuss the key points with the Chief of Nature & Environment. You will also monitor the progress of the actions resulting from these meetings.
The NVWA’s Vision on Supervision served as the basis for developing and adopting the vision on the public interest in Nature and the Environment. The NVWA aims to maximize its impact on improving water quality, biodiversity, and a healthy living environment. In your role as CSA, you will play an advisory, coordinating, and reporting role in this regard. Among other things, various action plans are being implemented based on the Vision, and significant efforts are underway to develop stakeholder management, innovation, and the establishment and improvement of partnerships, both internally and externally.
You address both solicited and unsolicited issues that span multiple domains and identify gaps within those domains, after consulting with the Chief and in coordination with the CSIs of the relevant domains. You take the lead in resolving these issues and involve the right people. This includes, for example, establishing internal and external partnerships. You provide both solicited and unsolicited advice.
You help translate departmental activities into actions that serve the public interest. You discuss current issues and act as a liaison between CSI and the Chief when it comes to sharing important information.
Finally, you’ll serve as a key liaison between many different departments focused on the public interest in nature and the environment. You’ll be involved in everything from updating the multi-year agenda and multi-year enforcement plans to planning and prioritizing activities in the annual plans across all areas under your responsibility.
