For the coming years, ESNS is looking for a Dutch Grants and Funds Coordinator. Are you detail-oriented, positive, a good communicator, and proactive? A team player who can bridge the gap between ESNS’s projects and activities, its objectives, and the corresponding grants and funds? Then ESNS is looking for you!

Job Title
ESNS is looking for an experienced coordinator to apply for and coordinate Dutch grants and funds.

ESNS is an event consisting of many sub-events that take place simultaneously and consecutively in January. ESNS is partially funded by national, provincial, and municipal grants. In addition, we apply for funding from private foundations and have two major European project grants. As a result, an application or accounting report must be prepared every month. We are looking for someone with extensive experience who can handle this effectively.

What will you be doing?

  • Based on the Management Team’s objectives and in close coordination with the Head of Operations, you will develop various policy plans (multi-year plans, individual project plans, four-year plans) and grant applications . This includes applications and plans for the municipality, province, national government, and grants from various funds. Afterward, in consultation with the Head of Operations, you will prepare the substantive justifications.
  • You keep an eye on new grant programs and explore opportunities for ESNS, particularly in the areas that are priorities of ESNS policy.
  • Monitor the overall schedule of requests and reports. The complexity of the event and its sub-events means you must closely monitor schedules and deadlines throughout the year. There is a deadline for a policy document every month.
  • You will coordinate the implementation of Dutch projects and handle meeting scheduling. If requested, you will prepare the minutes and summaries of project meetings.
  • You also have strong numerical skills, gained from preparing budgets and financial statements for plans and reports. Together with the financial staff member/controller, you prepare the Dutch financial reports. You monitor project budgets in collaboration with the project teams.
  • You will support the Head of Operations in carrying out administrative and management tasks. This includes, among other things, developing various internal procedures and guidelines, such as budget management, travel expense policies, etc.
  • You will represent ESNS at various meetings and will be asked to attend 2–3 conferences or festivals throughout the year to gain inspiration.
  • You maintain contact and your network with funds and expand it whenever possible to take advantage of new opportunities.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have extensive and verifiable work experience (at least 3 years) in applying for and accounting for grants and drafting policy documents.
  • You will closely monitor the status and scheduling of Dutch grant and funding applications.
  • You're used to working with targets and deadlines. You can handle stress well and have a proactive attitude.
  • You have an eye for detail and for the people in the organization.
  • You have good social skills and are able to communicate effectively with many different types of people.
  • You have a higher vocational education (HBO) or university-level work and thinking ability; a relevant degree is preferred.
  • You have excellent language skills, both spoken and written, in Dutch and English.
  • You have a knack for numbers and preparing project budgets.
  • Work experience in the music or events industry is a plus.

What do we offer?
You’ll be working in a flat-structured professional Operations team, in a collegial, no-nonsense, enjoyable, and results-oriented atmosphere.
