Marketing and Sales Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced marketing and sales coordinator for marketing and sales. An important link between the artistic process and the outside world. Developing, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing Het Houten Huis’s sales and marketing policy will be your responsibility.
About us
Het Houten Huis is a subsidized (BIS) music theater company that creates visual performances for audiences of all ages. Based in Groningen, we produce shows that can be seen throughout the country and far beyond its borders. On stage, we portray heroes from everyday life, grappling with their fears and desires. About the work
- Together with the sales team, you will develop a realistic sales plan for each period of the cultural infrastructure plan (4 years).
- You will coordinate and oversee the sales of our major productions to theaters and festivals throughout the Netherlands and, to a limited extent, abroad. In doing so, you will work closely with our agency, STIP Theater Producties.
- You will manage two colleagues on the sales team, and together you will sell our smaller-scale performances to schools in the three northern provinces.
- You will seek out new relationships and maintain existing ones in the performing arts sector in the Netherlands and abroad.
- Together with the marketing team, you will develop a feasible marketing plan for each phase of the cultural infrastructure project (4 years).
- You will ensure that our performances attract as broad and diverse an audience as possible.
- Based on data and an analysis by location, you determine which resources to use to reach a large audience.
About you
- You have experience in the performing arts and a useful network.
- Your strength lies in your ability to bridge the gap between artistic content and different types of audiences.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
- You're up to date with digital technology and you're a skilled planner.
- You have an independent, decisive, and proactive attitude.
About your compensation
You will receive a salary in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for theater and dance.
We’ll start with a one-year contract, which we can extend—and eventually convert into a permanent contract—if both parties are satisfied. In addition, you’ll receive a year-end bonus, 30 days of vacation annually, reimbursement for travel expenses, a training budget, and a work-from-home policy.
