About the West-Achterhoek Library
The library has long since ceased to be just a place where you go to borrow books. The West-Achterhoek Library is a community hub where you can read, study, and participate in all kinds of activities. We have seven branches in three municipalities: Doetinchem, Doesburg, and Bronckhorst. To plan our activities, we collaborate with schools, social service organizations, social and cultural institutions, and local governments. We want residents of our municipalities to be able to read and learn in an enjoyable way and to be able to participate successfully in society. The West-Achterhoek Library is an important partner in the region for reading, learning, information, and cultural experiences.

Job Description:
The West-Achterhoek Library is looking for a passionate Marketing and Communications Coordinator who can take our team to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of the PR, Marketing, and Communications team and for developing an effective marketing and communications plan. You will conduct market research and analyses of our target audiences and translate the results into an effective and creative marketing plan. In addition, you will have expertise in corporate branding and will represent our library at marcom meetings.
What are you bringing?
- A strategic and tactical approach to marketing and communication
- Experience in the operational management of a team
- Familiar with developing and implementing marketing and communication plans
- Experience with market research, analysis, and working with KPIs
- Knowledge of corporate branding
- Ability to work independently and take the initiative proactively

- A salary in pay grade 9 (€3,284–€4,451 for full-time employment) in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Public Libraries
