Every person has the right to respect and dignity; those in the greatest need are helped first, and religion, nationality, race, origin, or political opinion are irrelevant. All Red Cross volunteers and staff act in accordance with the principle of “do no harm’ principle and the fundamental principles, and have signed the Red Cross Code of Conduct.
In the Netherlands, the Red Cross helps people who lack or are at risk of lacking basic necessities.
