The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra|Netherlands Chamber Orchestra presents opera and concert productions at the highest artistic level. Through our programs for education, outreach, and talent development, we invest in the future of classical music. The Marketing, Sales, and Development Department is responsible for positioning our orchestras, selling tickets for our concerts, reaching diverse audiences, and increasing revenue from ticket sales, sponsorships, grants, and donations.
We are currently looking for a:
Events and Relations Coordinator(28–32 hours per week, days to be determined)
What will you be doing?
This position is part of the Marketing, Sales, and Development department, but you will also work on projects and activities from other departments.
Who are you?
You have a higher vocational education (HBO)
level of work and thinking and, preferably, several years of demonstrable
work experience in a similar position. You are creative, have
excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and you
are a hard worker who approaches tasks independently, systematically, and practically. Furthermore,
you have a keen sense of interpersonal dynamics and a diplomatic
disposition. You are familiar with Microsoft Office and, preferably, with CRM
systems as well. You are flexible in your availability and don’t mind working in the evenings
or on weekends. You are fluent in both Dutch and (preferably)
English. An affinity for classical music is a plus.
What We Offer
You’ll be working in a wonderful
organization with two orchestras and as part of a friendly team where humor and
a sense of perspective are valued. The team development group consists of three
people, and the entire marketing, sales, and development department consists of nine people.
You’ll collaborate with various colleagues from the team and across the entire organization.
Initially, a temporary employment contract is entered into for one year; after that, an extension is a possibility.
Salary is based on age and experience in Scale 7 of the Central Government Collective Bargaining Agreement (Cao Rijk): a minimum of €2,471.07 and a maximum of €3,220.75 gross per month for a full-time position of 36 hours. In addition, there is an 8% vacation allowance, and you will receive a year-end bonus. You will be working at an inspiring workplace at the NedPhO-Koepel in Amsterdam-Oost, and you will have the opportunity to attend more than 100 concerts and opera performances each season.
