As a community coordinator, you serve as a bridge between INEA, adoptees, adoptive parents, professionals, advocacy groups, and the adoption community. You create space for diverse perspectives and dialogue and help foster a safe and meaningful community. You navigate this field of diverse interests and experiences with care, professionalism, and a commitment to safety.
You will play a prominent role in our community activities and events. You will represent INEA in a natural and carefully tailored manner during conversations and meetings, adapting to the context of the moment, and you will represent INEA clearly and consistently in terms of content during (community) conversations, meetings, and in selected communications.
Where will you be working?
INEA is the center of expertise on intercountry adoption. INEA is an independent organization, but is administratively integrated into Fiom, the center of expertise in the areas of unwanted pregnancy, adoption (including birth-to-adoption), and kinship issues.
INEA stands for Identity, Aftercare, Recognition, and Adoption Issues. Since 2023, INEA has been a resource for people with an adoption background and their support network (family, adoptive parents, friends, and other stakeholders) regarding all their questions about intercountry adoption. Our services include providing information on topics such as: access to files, psychosocial support, search efforts, and legal support. These services are, so to speak, the building blocks of the organization. They were established at the request of the Ministry of Justice and Security. You can read more about this mandate in the handout: Building Blocks for the Development of the Center of Expertise on Intercountry Adoption. A key focus here is strengthening the scientifically grounded knowledge base that contributes to advancing the knowledge and quality of services provided by both INEA and various organizations and professionals within the adoption landscape. For more information about INEA, visit the website www.inea.nl.
