NewBees offers newcomers immediate participation in society and practical guidance toward employment. NewBees is a fast-growing, young organization that prepares newcomers for a job—and a place in society.
NewBees works in more than 60 municipalities across the Netherlands to promote practical participation for people who need to integrate into society. We also match newcomers with traineeships at local businesses and organizations, with a focus on talent and equality.
NewBees aims to significantly expand its impact in the coming years: by 2027, we want to reach 50,000 newcomers annually, both in the Netherlands and abroad. After all, all newcomers are entitled to quality services regarding participation. That is why we are now making our services easily accessible to all municipalities in the Netherlands. The Community Manager assists municipalities in creating inclusive participation opportunities for newcomers, using NewBees’ offerings.
What will you be doing as a Community Manager?
NewBees offers engagement activities to municipalities, in which newcomers participate. We do this with our own staff, but we also offer our modules and online platform through the NewBees Community.
The Community Manager is responsible for expanding the NewBees Community and promoting our services to municipalities and other organizations working in the field of civic engagement. The Community Manager informs these organizations about what NewBees offers and helps them discover how our services align with their needs. As a point of contact for these municipalities, you’ll identify their needs, jointly analyze the possibilities, inspire them with your enthusiasm, and offer practical solutions. You’ll serve as their primary point of contact at NewBees.
In this role, you will report to the CEO and have considerable freedom to help shape your position. You will be part of the NewBees NL team and work closely with colleagues responsible for NewBees’ operations.

- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Strong listening skills and a keen understanding of diverse interests and organizational cultures.
- Experience working with government agencies or organizations that deal with (civic integration) legislation.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- An inclusive and respectful work style that inspires and brings people together.
