The RRview platform serves as a virtual gathering place for the entire Erkennen & Waarderen community. The community consists of Erkennen & Waarderen project leaders from the various participating institutions, members of the various Erkennen & Waarderen committees, relevant administrators, and the national Erkennen & Waarderen Program Team. The purpose of this platform is to bring people together, exchange knowledge, inspire one another, connect with each other, and collaborate.
Your role as Online Community Manager:
Job Requirements
You have at least a completed associate’s or bachelor’s degree and are familiar with the academic world. In addition, you are interested in key developments in higher education and research. You enjoy working with digital tools and are creative in using them to build a community. Preferably, you have experience working with an intranet environment or another online community platform. You identify when there are individual or group needs and take appropriate action. The community manager is visibly engaged on the platform and serves as a point of contact for other users regarding questions about using the platform. He/she ensures that members behave appropriately and, if not, addresses the issue. For this role, it is important to maintain a clear overview of a large volume of information while improving the discoverability of that information for the community. You quickly navigate complex subject matter, work meticulously, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Profile
We are looking for someone who strongly identifies with the goals outlined in the position paper “Room for Everyone’s Talent.” Someone who supports these goals and wants to be part of this cultural shift. In addition, we are looking for someone who is able to process complex information and organize it carefully, who works independently, takes initiative, and has a proactive and motivating attitude. A background in communications or relevant experience is a major plus. In short, a true connector of people and information.
We offer
A one-year contract for 16 hours per week. Secondment from one of our affiliated institutions or organizations is also a possibility. We are also open to hiring a freelancer. If performance is satisfactory, this will be converted into a contract for the duration of the program. The salary depends on education and experience and is in line with market rates, classified in scale 10 of the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities. In addition, UNL offers excellent benefits, an active training policy, and a work environment where professionalism is central.
The office is located in the center of The Hague. Working entirely from home is an option.
