About the DFCD Program
WWF Netherlands is one of the four consortium partners of the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development, which consists of two investors (FMO and Climate Fund Managers) and two NGOs (WWF-NL and SNV).
WWF’s role—together with SNV—is to identify bankable climate projects and help them become investment-ready. Since the fund’s launch in 2019, we have supported 27 projects. We are now entering the phase of handing these projects over to the DFCD’s investment managers, FMO and CFM, while at the same time preparing to scale up our efforts to identify and support even more projects.
The WWF DFCD team is part of the Green Finance Unit at WWF-NL, which aims to promote sustainable investment among institutional investors by sharing knowledge, developing risk management tools, and creating model projects for bankable nature solutions. If you join us, you can help us raise our profile as experts in developing bankable nature solutions.
