As a communications officer at CNV Internationaal, you will work alongside a team of dedicated colleagues in the Netherlands, as well as colleagues and trade union partners from 15 countries.

What are you going to do?
As a communications officer, you’ll showcase our projects and use your creative skills to develop innovative campaigns for international supply chains. Your responsibilities are varied. One day you might be writing social media posts and an opinion piece for a national newspaper. The next day, you might be helping your Indonesian colleagues brainstorm a campaign and produce a video about working in the palm oil industry.
You will also be working on:
- developing and implementing a new multi-year communication and campaign strategy;
- developing and implementing an active press and media policy;
- the implementation and use of social media, for example by launching a campaign;
- developing and implementing private fundraising campaigns targeting donors (several times a year);
- supporting country coordinators and local trade unions in communication and advocacy efforts in regions where CNV International operates.
Who are you:
You’re a true creative jack-of-all-trades who loves to use your skills to advance the interests of employees beyond national borders. “Hands-on” is your middle name, and you enjoy switching quickly between various projects. You also have the following:
- At least a completed associate’s or bachelor’s degree in communication and/or marketing; or journalism
- Preferably 3 years of work experience in a similar position;
- Excellent language skills (reading, speaking, writing) in Dutch and English and/or French and/or Spanish.
It would be great if you:
- Have proven experience coordinating and carrying out communication and campaign activities, serving as a spokesperson, and maintaining press contacts;
- Have experience in private fundraising and in developing and implementing a communication strategy aimed at donors;
- Have a network in the field of international cooperation and media, or the ability to quickly build such a network;
- Have experience working with and for organizations in developing countries;

- An attractive salary ranging from a minimum of €3,136.48 gross per month to a maximum of €4,182.41 gross per month (rising to €4,845.28 gross), based on a 36-hour workweek.
