TheSocial and Economic Council (SER)advises the government and parliament on the broad outlines of social and economic policy. The SER also facilitates agreements and covenants and performs administrative tasks. Independent members appointed by the Crown, employers, and employees work together within the SER. The organization has approximately 140 full-time equivalents (FTEs), and there is an informal atmosphere within the organization. The SER offers considerable scope for personal responsibility and choice in work assignments.

The Communications Department is responsible for the SER’s corporate communications, including press relations and public speaking, organizing meetings, editing and designing publications, corporate identity, and internet and intranet sites, as well as for the documentation collection, providing information, and knowledge transfer. The Communications Department advises on communications with various target groups and ensures their implementation through various media.
You will be part of the Communications Advisory and Spokesperson Team, which is part of the Communications Department. The team consists of 9 communications advisors. Your primary focus will be on communications related to diversity, and more specifically the SERDiversity Portaland SERTop Women. The SER advocates for more women and more people with a non-Western migration background in top leadership positions in the business world. In your role as a communications advisor, you will help foster collaboration between various parties and support companies in their diversity policies.
In addition, you will play an advisory role in SER recommendations and projects, working alongside policy staff to ensure that these projects and recommendations have an impact on the right target groups. You will collaborate with fellow communications advisors and content specialists. You will report to the Head of Communications.
This is a position for a minimum of 32 hours and a maximum of 38 hours per week, initially for one year, with the prospect of permanent employment. The salary depends on your knowledge and experience and ranges from a minimum of €4,319 to a maximum of €5,677 gross per month for full-time employment (38 hours).
