What will you be doing?
Our organization is undergoing a transformation, with new roles and responsibilities. This will enable us to fully dedicate ourselves to working toward our chosen goals.
The position of Coalition Coordinator is a new role at the Amsterdam Economic Board. You will support collaboration within the partner coalitions on one of the three long-term goals. To this end, you will work closely with the coalition managers, fellow coordinators, and the entire team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- You will serve as a sparring partner for the coalition manager and assist them in bringing active partners together in coalitions. These partners will work toward solutions that enable the achievement of the jointly selected regional goal;
- In this role, you will be responsible for organizing, planning, coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring activities such as events, meetings, and (online) communications;
- Together with your coalition manager, you oversee the process to ensure the best possible results. To this end, you create schedules and monitor the decision and action lists;
- You will help develop and implement a strategic plan to ensure the success of the coalitions and their activities;
- You will develop a communication plan for your coalitions;
- You will assist the communications advisor in developing and implementing the organization-wide communications plan and take the lead in producing the Amsterdam Economic Board’s annual plan and report;
- You will develop text and visual content for news articles, presentations, invitations, brochures, and websites, in both Dutch and English;
- In consultation with the Coalition Manager, you will also facilitate meetings yourself.
As mentioned, this is a new role, and there is some flexibility to shape it according to your own preferences.

- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, and can transform complex language into clear, engaging text;
- Planning, organizing, carrying out in a structured manner, and monitoring support tasks gives you a sense of fulfillment;
- You have experience organizing events and meetings;
- Just as in maintaining and fostering networks and relationships;
- You enjoy actively collaborating with colleagues and partners, and you are committed to achieving the best possible results;
- You can develop feasible action plans and proactively monitor progress;
- You communicate easily, in a welcoming and proactive manner, with partners at all levels of an organization;
- You enjoy suggesting areas for improvement and new ideas, and you’re always on the lookout for opportunities and solutions.

What do we offer?
- An immediate opening for 32–40 hours per week;
- Estimated salary: €3,501 – €5,058 gross per month (based on a 40-hour workweek), depending on your experience.
