At Eigen Haard, you’ll be working to create neighborhoods where people look out for one another and everyone has the chance to enjoy a comfortable home. More than 100,000 residents have already found a home with us. And we want the same for you: a place where you feel at home, with flexible hours, opportunities for growth, our own gym, and a delicious lunch every day.
Would you like to serve as the link between IT and the business side of the company, helping to enhance residents’ quality of life by providing tenants with greater value through smart IT solutions?
Then you might be our new
Business Consultant
Amsterdam – 36 hours per week
As a Business Consultant, you will work within the business team of the Information Management & Processes (I&P) department. Together, you will continuously improve (end-to-end) processes and IT services. The focus is on working within an architectural framework and creating a flexible, agile infrastructure for workstations and standard IT services. We have opted for a hybrid IT landscape: we purchase what is available as “best of breed,” and for the rest, we develop it ourselves in collaboration with our procurement department.
You play a key role in the continuous improvement of processes and information flows within an organization that puts the tenant first. As a Business Consultant, you serve as the link between departments, chains, and processes. You contribute directly to strategic goals such as “putting the tenant first” and act as a valued partner for management and executive leadership at the intersection of business and IT (digitalization).
You translate strategic goals into concrete solutions: from application functionality to infrastructure and IT resources. You facilitate process improvements, guide and coach business partners during implementations, and work with the business manager, procurement specialist, and key users to ensure that working methods, tools, and processes are properly documented.
Collaboration is in your DNA: you work closely with other business teams, the product team, and the Scrum Master. When necessary, you coordinate with other staff departments to implement process improvements. You also advise developers and product owners on the integration of business processes and the application landscape.
Are you ready to make an impact and help build a future-proof organization?
Imagine this: you’re a professional with a college-level education and mindset, a solid foundation in Lean, Agile/Scrum, BiSL, and ITIL, and you understand how business and IT architecture reinforce each other. You know exactly what impact smart information systems and process design can have on an organization.
Not only do you have knowledge of lean, Scrum, and agile methodologies, but you also have a keen eye for innovative solutions and how to apply them in practice. Thanks to your experience in information management and/or process management, you know how to optimize processes and improve information flows.
What truly sets you apart is your entrepreneurial spirit: you’re curious about how others approach things, actively seek out innovation, and aren’t afraid to engage in discussion. You challenge both yourself and your colleagues to bring out the best in one another.
A commitment to service is in your DNA. You know where your responsibilities lie, you stand your ground in challenging conversations, you make decisions, and you focus on results—without losing sight of the human aspect and the context.
In short: with these qualities, you are the connecting link that improves processes and makes an impact—both on the organization and on the job satisfaction of colleagues and tenants. That makes you our ideal candidate for this role.
Finally: at Eigen Haard, it is important that you have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written. This is necessary to be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
