For 20 years, JINC—now with over 200 staff members, 5,000 volunteers, 860 partners, and more than 500 schools—has been working toward a society where your background doesn’t determine your future. To achieve this, we help children ages 8–16 in 30 socioeconomically disadvantaged urban areas get a better start in the job market. In 2023, JINC reached over 80,000 students. Since its founding in 2003, the total has reached 600,000. Through the JINC program, they are introduced to a wide range of professions, discover which jobs suit their talents, and learn how to apply for jobs. Independent research by SEOR (2022): “JINC is socially valuable; it increases young people’s personal resilience, and JINC projects have a positive impact on their decisions regarding education and career paths.” JINC is a nonprofit organization and is largely funded by the business community.
The first round of the selection process consists of a brief Teams interview, followed by in-person interviews at the office and a case study.
