
Effective September 1, Koninklijk Theater Carré is seeking an experienced operations manager to join our team. As operations manager, you will be responsible for and oversee the operations team (catering and theater) and directly supervise the theater supervisors, theater staff, and other employees.
Many consider the Royal Carré Theatre to be the most beautiful theatre in the Netherlands. The theatre is known for its diverse programming of national and international theatre productions of the highest caliber. With every conceivable theatre genre, from circus to cabaret and from pop concerts to opera, Carré offers a unique theatrical experience for everyone. For over 136 years, 400,000 visitors have made their way to the famous theater on the Amstel every year to experience the magic of Carré. As operations manager, you will be responsible for and oversee the operations team (catering and theater) and directly supervise the theater supervisors, theater staff, and other employees.
The manager we are looking for is hospitable, versatile, flexible, hands-on, and has experience in the hospitality industry. As manager, you will have overall responsibility for all visitor services at our theater and will contribute to one of the Royal Theater Carré’s core objectives: providing our visitors with an unforgettable experience. You will be ultimately responsible for handling questions from visitors and taking action in the event of emergencies. We are looking for someone ready to take the next step in their career, with a passion for theater and hospitality. On theater nights, you will be the first face of Carré.
You have at least 3 years of experience in this or a similar hospitality role in theater, events, or the food service industry. You have a vocational or college-level education. You hold a certificate in social hygiene and emergency response, and you are familiar with HACCP laws and regulations.
