
The Development and Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking a full-time Associate for its Amsterdam office, which serves as a key hub for HRW’s development, fundraising, and outreach activities in the Netherlands. The Associate will provide administrative support to the Development and Outreach team in the Netherlands, assisting with internal and external communications, administrative tasks, and event coordination. The Associate will actively participate in team meetings and events related to human rights.
This is a one-year, full-time fixed-term position based in Amsterdam. The Associate will report to the Netherlands Director. This role requires availability to work occasional evenings and weekend events. We expect the successful candidate to start this position by February 2024.
The successful candidate may have the option to work remotely, but will be expected to work from the office about 2–3 days a week. We aim to be as flexible and supportive as possible during both the recruitment process and the onboarding of this position.
A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in law, human rights, communication, international relations, social sciences, or a related field, is required.
A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required. We are interested in hearing from candidates who may have previous work, internship, or volunteer experience that is relevant to the role.
