WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Ensuring sound financial management, in collaboration with the CFO, by, among other things:
- Ensuring accurate invoicing. You will handle accounts receivable and accounts payable for the CFO and independently ensure that payments are made and collected on time.
- Assist with the audit by compiling well-organized supporting documents and organizing financial data.
- Providing financial updates to the management team, external stakeholders, and investors so that they always have the right insights.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual and project budgets and the creation of accurate forecasts, thereby helping to support sound financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure that our information security is up to standard in accordance with our ISO 27001 certification. You will be responsible for streamlining processes, identifying risks, and organizing documentation so that we can demonstrate that we operate in a secure and reliable manner.
- Manage contract management by reviewing contracts, addressing legal issues, and ensuring that agreements are properly documented. You’ll help keep our partnerships clear and well-organized. This also involves liaising with external parties.
- Actively contribute to the success of various projects by preparing clear reports and managing grant funds. You will analyze data in Excel and Exact to provide insights that inform our decision-making.
- You’ll be working alongside Hein, the CFO, who will regularly check in with you about your progress, ideas, and goals. You’ll also be working closely with the teams at our Amsterdam office, where you’ll be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic group of colleagues.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You are motivated to contribute to an inclusive society and want to work with and for newcomers.
- You are currently enrolled in or have completed a relevant degree program, such as Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy, or a similar field of study.
- You are proficient in Excel and have experience with financial systems such as Exact (or are eager to learn).
- You are meticulous and excel at distinguishing between what is important and what is not.
- You see the big picture of your work, and can determine from that which details are important today.
- You are available at least 3 days a week (hours to be determined).
- You have strong communication skills in Dutch (at least B1 level).
- It is an advantage if you have a newcomer background yourself.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
- A salary between €2,900 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your experience and qualifications
