The Collections Office and the Collections Departments are looking for a:
Department Assistant (F/M/X),32 hours per week
Position
This position is for both the Collections Office and the Collections Departments (comprising the Fine Arts, History, and National Print Room departments). The Collection Departments are responsible for the various art and history collections within the Rijksmuseum, and the Collections Office is responsible for collection and exhibition management. It is a dynamic department where, among other things, the digitization of the collections and the production of all exhibitions take place. All of these departments are led by a total of six heads. You will help bridge the connection between these two departments!
In this role, you will work closely with the existing department assistant. You will also cover for each other when one of you is absent; together, you form a true team.
As a department assistant, you serve as a key link between the various department heads, the staff, the sub-departments, and the rest of the museum. In addition to your own (ad hoc) tasks for each assigned department head, you will also be responsible for overarching duties. You actively contribute ideas, thereby improving the many processes and workflows where there is still room for your input.
