Would you like to help create a healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment? As a Well-being & Inclusion Advisor, you’ll help Milieudefensie build an organization where people feel valued, engaged, and mentally healthy. Is this the right fit for you?
For the new year, we are looking for a:Welfare & Inclusion Advisor(0.8 FTE / 30 hours)
Milieudefensie empowers people to work together to bring about the social change needed to ensure a good and healthy life on Earth, in harmony with one another and with nature, for ourselves and for future generations. Our vision: climate justice.
Milieudefensie has been working toward a sustainable and just world for over 50 years. In the Netherlands, nearly 200,000 change-makers actively contribute to our campaigns in all sorts of ways. More than 100,000 members and donors, along with several major endowment funds, make our campaigns financially possible. This is what we’re fighting for right now: ensuring that major polluters contribute to solving the climate crisis. We can only achieve this if we apply pressure together with many change-makers. In the coming years, we aim to engage and mobilize 600,000 change-makers. We are considered the most influential climate and environmental organization in the Netherlands. From our office in Amsterdam, more than 150 professionals contribute to this effort every day.
Who do you work with?
You will be part of the HR department. You will work closely with HR, the executive board, and management, and serve as a substantive advisor to the Works Council and the employee association. You will report to the HR manager. For matters related to integrity and ethics, you will collaborate with the executive board and relevant internal and external partners.
Milieudefensie staff work partly from home. We meet both online and in the office.
We believe in the power of diversity and strive to build a diverse workforce with balanced representation across gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, and ethnic background. That is why we especially encourage people from groups that are underrepresented within the climate movement to apply.
