Safety Advisor II

Safety is a division of Arkin Vastgoed. As a safety advisor, you work with colleagues from various departments to ensure a safe environment for both clients and employees every day.

We are looking for two tactically and strategically minded consultants who can respond to the constant changes in the healthcare sector and the related safety field. In this role, you will be responsible for providing (policy-based) advice to management teams and colleagues at various locations, as well as coordinating and implementing existing safety policies. You will invest in raising safety awareness among colleagues and serve as a reliable sounding board. You will also participate in various project groups and the safety committee within Arkin.

As a safety consultant, you handle a variety of areas within the field of safety. Whether it involves fire safety, crisis management, building safety, personal safety, emergency response, or societal threats, you are Arkin’s go-to specialist. In that capacity:

• Do you help draft safety policies and ensure their consistency?
• Provide further details on safety policy, risk awareness, and a risk-based approach;
• Will you contribute your ideas and help shape an integrated approach to safety, in which safety issues are examined and analyzed in their broader context;
• Are you a point of contact for various security topics, such as access control, security, burglary prevention, and personal security?
• Implement risk-based fire safety measures. You will develop action plans that carefully align behavior, organizational structure, the building, and its systems;
• You will be responsible for implementing the emergency response policy and drafting an annual emergency response plan that addresses local priorities. In addition, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the emergency response service provider and act as a resource for the organization;
• Will you help with disaster and crisis management and the preparations for them?
• Are you building a relevant network (both internal and external) and regularly coordinating with various parties;
• Help us identify the vulnerabilities and challenges Arkin faces in light of high-risk dependencies, and raise awareness about this issue.

You are a team player, empathetic, and helpful, and can take decisive action based on your professional knowledge and expertise.

• Have experience in the broad field of safety, with an affinity for the healthcare sector being a plus;

• Are proactive and can easily switch between different levels;
• Are able to contribute ideas at the strategic and tactical levels and implement security policies;
• You have a college or university level of work and thinking, supplemented by relevant certificates or diplomas.
