You will provide advice on all of Amsterdam UMC’s core activities (healthcare, education and training, research, and commercialization) and work on various topics such as data and digitalization, strategy development, networking, and regional collaboration. You will support and lead organization-wide projects and advise the board of directors and division management. Specific projects range from supporting strategic initiatives, organizing strategic sessions for the organization’s leadership, making portfolio decisions, establishing partnerships, and implementing healthcare reorganizations in the region. In addition, you contribute to programs such as sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and data-driven work. You are versatile across various themes. However, the focus of your work lies in strategy development: responding to new developments and ensuring the implementation and monitoring of the current strategy.
You possess an academic level of work and thinking. You approach issues from various perspectives and have a solution-oriented mindset. You have a strategic view of the healthcare sector: you understand which major developments are influencing healthcare and, ideally, have experience working in a healthcare institution. You actively build lasting relationships, seek to connect with others, and collaborate to achieve shared goals. Additionally:
You’ll be joining a close-knit and driven team within Amsterdam UMC’s Strategy Department, where everyone supports and learns from one another. Amsterdam UMC’s strategy is: A Healthy Future for All – together, we’re shaping the healthcare of tomorrow. We do this together. From the Strategy Department, we support the organization in achieving its strategic goals. You’ll work at both Amsterdam UMC locations and partly from home.
The Strategy Department reports to the Board of Directors and is led by the Director of Strategy. You will work alongside approximately fifteen strategic advisors, divided into three functional areas and three team leads: Strategy Development, Strategic Partnerships, and Data & Digitalization.
