As an Education and Training Advisor at the Amsterdam UMC Medical Residency Program (MVO), you will work in a results-oriented and dynamic environment where doctors are trained to become medical specialists. In this role, you will serve as a strong partner for trainers and professionals within the medical residency programs.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for several degree programs and provide strategic advice on program quality and development. In addition, you will lead peer review sessions, conduct training sessions, and actively contribute to professional development within the field. Together with colleagues, you will initiate innovative projects and stay abreast of national trends. There is also an opportunity to conduct academic research within your area of expertise.
In this role:
Strategic adaptability
You quickly and effectively tailor your advice to the target audience. You switch effortlessly between working with junior residents and experienced specialists, and adapt effectively to changes in a dynamic field.
Strong group leadership
You know how to lead, motivate, and engage groups of medical professionals. You ensure focus, structure, and results in learning programs.
Clear positioning & constructive confrontation
You’re not afraid to take a stand, take responsibility, and hold others accountable for quality and collaboration. You speak up about what needs to be done, even when it’s uncomfortable—with respect and impact. That’s how you drive change in challenging situations.
Self-reflection & eagerness to learn
You have a clear understanding of your role and actively learn from feedback and experience. You are constantly working on your personal development.
Change Management & Innovation
You design targeted interventions that are tailored to the realities of the CSR Learning Center. You focus on solutions, test ideas, and inspire people to work toward sustainable improvement.
You will be working at the MVO Learning Center (MVO Leerhuis). The MVO Learning Center advises training providers on the quality of postgraduate medical training programs and offers guidance and support in various areas. The professional development of educators, medical specialists, and physicians in training to become medical specialists is also part of the MVO Leerhuis’s responsibilities. Together with your team, you will make a significant contribution to the continuous improvement of the quality of these training programs. In this way, you will not only contribute to the quality of today’s healthcare but also to the quality of care for tomorrow’s patients.
The CSR Learning Center is part of the Education & Training division at Amsterdam UMC. You will work closely with the various medical residency programs, the Central Training Committee, the Resident Physicians’ Council, and the Board of Directors. The region is also an important partner.
The CSR Learning Center is made up of a passionate team where collaboration is highly valued. Your colleagues will be happy to guide you through your onboarding period. After the onboarding period (which will mainly take place on-site), you will work—just like the rest of the team—at both Amsterdam UMC locations as well as from home. Mondays and Thursdays are designated on-site days for team meetings.
Your resume will not be used for the initial screening. Instead of submitting a cover letter, we ask that you apply by answering the 5 questions below. We do this because diversity and inclusion are important to us. The MVO Leerhuis wants to give everyone an equal opportunity, regardless of background or experience.
