Do you want to help build a future where culture and nature continue to thrive? Are you comfortable navigating policy frameworks and able to translate them into practical action, with a genuine passion for people and their stories? Can you build and maintain relationships, and do you know how to inspire people to include culture and nature in their wills? Then we’re looking for you!
We offer a meaningful role where you can make a real difference. You’ll work with dedicated colleagues, enjoy excellent benefits, have the option to work partly from home, and be given the opportunity to grow professionally.
What will you be doing?
You will be part of the Development team: a dedicated and energetic team of 11 colleagues who work every day to engage people in our mission and to raise financial support for the Cultuurfonds. Due to our ambitious plans for the future, we are expanding the team. In this role, you will work with a fellow advisor to shape and implement the Culture Fund’s legacy policy. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to increasing our visibility and the number of people who include the Culture Fund in their wills.
- You will build personal relationships with (potential) donors and maintain these relationships through email, phone calls, and in-person meetings across the country. You will serve as a trusted point of contact and guide them with care and dedication.
- You identify market trends and opportunities within the industry in the area of recruitment.
- Together with your colleague, you will develop the annual legacy giving plan, including campaigns and events, and implement it throughout the year.
- You will develop and maintain a valuable network of intermediaries, including notaries and asset managers, who play a key role in our estate planning strategy.
- As a true team player, you’ll work closely with your colleagues on the Development team to ensure optimal synergy with “Giving While You Live.”
- You will also work with colleagues from the Programs and Impact team to draw inspiration from the donor’s wishes in order to identify a suitable use for the donation.
- You will represent the Cultural Fund in relevant networks and help increase our visibility
- You will ensure that your interactions are properly recorded in the CRM system.
What do you bring to the table?
- At least a college-level education.
- Proven experience with estate planning, preferably with a legal or notarial background and fundraising skills. You understand the sensitivities and complexities surrounding bequests and know how to handle them with care and respect.
- You are someone who takes a genuine interest in people and listens attentively. You are a team player, transparent, and honest.
- You work independently, with attention to detail, and maintain a clear overview. You are creative in developing and implementing recruitment ideas and events.
- You are a pleasant and knowledgeable person to talk to for potential donors and people at various levels both within and outside the organization.
- You have a valid driver's license
We prefer candidates who help make our organization more diverse in every way. We believe in the power of an inclusive culture and think it’s important for everyone to be able to be themselves. It doesn’t matter to us where you were born, what you believe in, or who you love; what matters is what you bring to our organization.
What do we offer?
- A one-year contract for 32 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent position.
- A salary ranging from €3,985 to €6,036 gross per month on a full-time basis (40 hours per week), depending on your work experience.
- Attractive employee benefits, such as a flexible spending account (14.42%) that you can choose to have paid out or use to purchase additional vacation days. We also provide a budget for your personal development and setting up your home office, a contribution toward health insurance, full reimbursement of travel expenses, a laptop, and a phone (or phone allowance).
- A modern and welcoming workplace in a beautiful location in West Amsterdam, with the option to work partly from home.
- We have a great team of dedicated and satisfied colleagues, who give us an average rating of 8.3 as an employer.
