Consultant (Mid-Level)

What will you be doing?

No two days are the same at JSO. You’ll be working on:

• Facilitating participatory processes: You empower residents and give them a voice on issues such as youth services or neighborhood revitalization.
  
• Developing neighborhood-focused solutions: Collaborate with residents, organizations, and policymakers on plans that have a local impact.
  
• Inspire and connect: As a link between residents, administrators, and professionals, you use your energy and ideas to get people moving.
  

You’ll also contribute to JSO’s growth. You’ll identify opportunities, build relationships with existing and new clients, help clients define their needs, and translate these into compelling and persuasive proposals.

Your profile

Our ideal mid-career consultant:

• Has a college or university-level education and at least 5 years of experience as a consultant, process facilitator, or project manager.
  
• Is a creative go-getter with fresh ideas and a strong drive to tackle social issues.
  
• Can switch between different roles (advisor, process facilitator, project manager) and is sensitive to the interests and dynamics involved
  
• Has experience with business development, conducting sales calls, and writing proposals.
  
• Works in an entrepreneurial and flexible manner, with a keen eye for opportunities and quality.
  
• Has a proven track record of managing projects and maintains control over content, scheduling, budget, and quality.
  
• Is a team player who leverages the talents of others and works with colleagues to strengthen JSO’s unique profile.

Who are we?

We are JSO, a consulting firm specializing in the social sector. We are positive change agents with a social and entrepreneurial spirit. We combine our expertise with the skills needed to drive and guide change. Our team of 11 expert consultants and project staff, along with two support colleagues, carries out a wide variety of assignments for municipalities, social organizations, and government agencies. On average, we handle about 50 different assignments each year.

We specialize in community-based work and participation. In our projects, we ensure that all stakeholders have a voice, are engaged, and have a say, and we are committed to solving major challenges through small-scale solutions.
