More about this organization
A teacher is helping students with their schoolwork in a classroom at a table covered with books and notebooks.

Does supporting professionals in their professional development energize you? And are you someone who both pioneers new approaches and brings structure to the process? If so, come work at the PO-Raad and contribute to our PO Academy.

What will you be doing?

You will develop and coordinate professional development offerings, such as learning pathways, masterclasses, e-learning courses, (learning) networks, and (online) knowledge products. You will do this with a long-term vision and based on the needs of our members: what is needed to truly help schools and school boards address a specific issue?

In this role, you will work closely with advisors on various policy areas (such as HR, educational quality, or facilities), members of the PO-Raad association, the management team, and your immediate colleagues at the PO-Academie.

In addition, you will maintain external contacts with, for example, training providers who deliver and/or supervise our programs. You are capable of working independently throughout the entire process, from analysis to problem definition, design, implementation, and thorough evaluation. You also have experience overseeing the bidding process to find the right provider for our needs.

Where will you be working?

At the PO-Raad, you will be part of the PO-Academy team, alongside a program manager, a back-office staff member, and another learning and development advisor. We believe in working together as a team. We strive for excellence and like to think ahead. That is why we will be taking a number of new steps in the coming period, such as developing new offerings in the area of administrative leadership and strengthening our digital visibility.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a college or university-level education and way of thinking (for example, in Educational Design, Educational Science, HRM, or Organizational Science).
  • You have proven work experience as a project manager, learning and development consultant, organizational consultant, or training specialist.
  • You have knowledge of learning and change processes.
  • You have experience in (collaboratively) developing professional development and knowledge products.
  • You are curious and thrive on collaborating with people both within and outside our organization.
  • You can translate complex issues into concrete support for our members
  • You’re someone who enjoys contributing strategic ideas and who’s also eager to roll up your sleeves and make sure plans are carried out
  • Knowledge and experience in the education sector is a plus.

What does the PO-Raad offer?

  • A challenging position for 32 hours a week.
  • A salary in pay grade 11 (minimum €4,332 and maximum €5,929 per month for a full-time position of 38 hours per week). Your starting salary will depend on your education, knowledge, and experience.
  • We adhere to the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities.
  • A pleasant workspace at our office in Utrecht (next to Overvecht Station), possibly combined with resources for a home office.
  • A good pension plan with ABP.
  • 232 vacation hours and the option to accrue additional vacation time
  • 8% vacation pay.
  • Year-end bonus of 8.3%.
  • Travel expense reimbursement and/or NS Business Card for commutes of 10 km or more
  • A one-year contract, with the possibility of a permanent position.
  • Excellent opportunities for professional growth.

This is the PO Council

The PO-Raad is the sector association for primary education (PO). The association represents the common interests of school boards in primary education, special primary education, and (secondary) special education. Through visits, networking events, and the General Members’ Meeting, our members are involved in shaping the PO-Raad’s positions. This makes the PO-Raad an authoritative advocate. In addition, the PO-Raad drives innovative projects and knowledge sharing for primary and special education. Quality is our top priority. After all, it concerns the future of our children, and thus the future of the Netherlands. That is why we remain committed to quality education for every child.
