We are looking for enthusiastic advisors for the I&V and Practice Grant programs, in which applications are evaluated from various perspectives on contemporary visual art.
We aim to build a pool of advisors that is as diverse as Rotterdam’s artistic community. By diversity, we mean—for example—cultural and ethnic diversity, gender and sexual diversity, as well as diversity in age, socioeconomic background, disciplines and practices, experience and career level, and geographic distribution within Rotterdam.
Are you a creative thinker with a critical social conscience who is committed to an inclusive and equitable arts sector in Rotterdam? Do you enjoy contributing ideas about the development of the arts in the city and discussing these ideas with others? And do you have specific experience with and a vision for issues related to cultural sensitivity and decolonization? Then we’re looking for you!
Through Art Office, CBK Rotterdam supports many unique and innovative projects each year, thereby fostering the development of visual artists in Rotterdam via theI&VandPraktijkbijdrage grant programs. The applications are diverse and often cover contemporary themes such as ecology, gender, identity, grief, family history, technology, and decolonization. They range from studies of techniques such as collography, screen printing, ceramics, digital art, and textile art, to concrete plans for exhibitions or presentation events in the Netherlands and abroad.
