What will you be doing as a Labor Market Advisor?
You will work on high-impact issues in the labor market. This includes topics such as aligning education with the labor market, lifelong learning, labor productivity, and an inclusive labor market. You support the education sector, the business community, (regional) governments, and labor market regions in developing multi-year agendas, establishing (public-private) partnerships, and translating plans into concrete actions and implementation. You engage in discussions with stakeholders, organize working sessions, and translate regional ambitions into actionable plans.
A central focus of your work is connecting government agencies, educational institutions, and businesses. One day you might be working on a multi-year plan for a (labor market) region, such as the Brainport region. The next day, you’ll collaborate with educational institutions, employers, and experts to draft a plan to help more young people with untapped talent find new jobs in the Amsterdam region.
What do you bring to the table?
- Academic level of work and thinking, with 2 to 5 years of policy experience.
- You will lead projects independently and take the lead, while having the opportunity to bounce ideas off experienced colleagues.
- You remain focused and goal-oriented, even when things get hectic, deadlines loom, and conflicting interests arise.
- You navigate easily among stakeholders and are able to align their interests.
- You translate complex issues into clear, compelling texts.
