The Operations Department supports academic programs and administrative services in areas such as housing, space management and facility design, procurement, facilities management, comprehensive safety, technical services, and other support services.
As a policy advisor, you will provide guidance on a wide range of issues within this department. You will help develop and shape the operational strategy and department-wide (operational) themes, innovations, and improvements. In addition, you will contribute to the department’s planning and control cycle, the preparation of annual plans, and the monitoring of their implementation. You will evaluate, analyze, make proposals, prepare for decision-making, and ensure or oversee implementation.
You are versatile and have knowledge of the various fields within the department. You stay up to date on the latest developments in these fields and translate them into policies and actions.
You will establish the connection between Deltion’s strategic direction, developments in the various fields, and the Operational Policy. You will also contribute ideas for improvements within the department itself and implement them in consultation with others.
You will primarily serve as the right-hand person to the Director of Operations and provide support to the members of the Management Team. You will be the point of contact for the topics assigned to you. You will lead projects related to specific (policy) topics to implement them across Deltion or within the department. In doing so, you will monitor the implementation process and ensure that it is evaluated and adjusted as necessary.
Deltion provides engaging, future-proof, and high-quality education—both to students preparing to enter the workforce and to those who wish to deepen, broaden, or update their knowledge. It’s not just our students who grow here—our staff also learn new things every day, with the help of colleagues and our in-house specialists. We support one another, take ownership of our work, and together we ensure our students are fully prepared for the future.
You are proactive, take the initiative, and have a truly hands-on approach. You have an open and service-oriented attitude and are attuned to organizational dynamics. You can articulate ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, possess excellent advisory skills, and are able to build and maintain a network. You excel at collaboration and actively seek contact with stakeholders, both within and outside Deltion. You thrive on evaluating, analyzing, developing, writing, and communicating policy. You work well independently and can switch quickly and creatively between different topics. In doing so, you constantly make the connection between Deltion’s strategic direction, developments within the various fields, and the Operations department.
