
As an Assistant HR Manager, you manage in a results-oriented manner, focusing on the big picture and output; you have the confidence to rely on the support and expertise of your team members. In addition to HR matters, you contribute your vision and expertise regarding professional content, innovation, and change.
As an assistant manager, you will lead 35 employees in the HR department, working closely with the department head. This role requires a broad perspective and a meticulous and independent approach.
In 2021, we began further developing the HR department with the goal of raising it to an even higher level in terms of expertise and professionalism. This will improve the quality and effectiveness of the advice and services we provide to the organization. With your arrival, we aim to continue this development.
You will be working in the Human Resources department of the City of Arnhem. We focus on “the right person in the right place” within a complex, dynamic organization. The department is divided into several areas: HR consulting, career and mobility, health and safety, learning and development, recruitment and hiring, and policy, processes, and employment conditions. Together with the organization, we work on challenges such as inclusion and diversity, the learning organization, internal mobility, and the tight labor market. We strive to collaborate across these areas in a connected and results-oriented manner, within an environment where we maintain a positive attitude and reinforce each other’s talents.
