Head of Theatre Technology
The Stadsschouwburg and the PHIL are Haarlem’s two largest venues. Every year, we organize more than 400 events, ranging from dance, cabaret, and musicals at the Stadsschouwburg to pop and classical concerts, television productions, and corporate events at the PHIL. Do you have experience in leadership, managing large projects, and a broad knowledge of stage technology? Then we are looking for you as Head of Theater Technology (36 hours)
What will you be doing?
As Head of Theatre Technology, you will lead a team of fourteen technical professionals. You will ensure that they facilitate the wide variety of stage productions smoothly and to the highest standards. You will oversee technical operations and have final responsibility for the department’s budget, stage technology investments, and maintenance. You will build on the strong foundation that already exists, while bringing your own vision to further develop and optimize the department.
What are we looking for?
You are an experienced and communicative people manager with a passion for the performing arts and technology. You combine organizational acumen with a hands-on approach and ensure that your team handles all technical aspects efficiently, safely, and with enthusiasm.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the performing arts or events industry;
- Well-versed in stage technology and innovations;
- You have previously driven efficiency improvements and process optimization;
- Skilled in budget management, project management, and long-term planning.
