Controller

What will you be doing?

As a Controller, you ensure the financial integrity and transparency of Longfonds. You have financial autonomy to support and shape the organization.

You will prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. You will also be involved in the implementation of the new CRM system currently being rolled out at Longfonds.

With your incisive analyses, you will support the Management Team, the Supervisory Board, and other stakeholders. You will also serve as the team leader of the Finance Team.

What do you bring to the table?

• You have a college or university level of work and thinking, with a completed relevant degree
• You have at least five years of work experience as a controller, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Experience with the application of RJ640 and RJ650 is preferred.
• You have experience preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Knowledge of AFAS Profit is a plus in this context
• You have experience providing strategic financial advice
• You have strong analytical and organizational skills
• You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• You have experience preparing for and coordinating external audits
• You have a good understanding of governance, treasury, and investment policies
• You possess leadership and coaching skills.

• A salary according to pay scale K of the Longfonds collective bargaining agreement (€4,455 – €6,410), depending on education and experience, based on a 36-hour workweek

You will be working in the Finance Team, which, in addition to the controller position, consists of a financial advisor and a financial administration assistant. As Controller, you will serve as the team leader of the Finance Team. You will maintain close contact with the Management Team and the other team leaders at Longfonds. You will report to the Operations & Organization Manager.
