This will be your job

As a Follow-Up Support Team Leader, you ensure that victims receive the best possible assistance. You lead a team of volunteers who are dedicated to providing emotional and practical support on a daily basis. With your energy and commitment, you create an inspiring work environment where staff can perform their duties with confidence and dedication and continue to grow professionally.

You maintain an overview, coordinate the workload, and ensure that services in your district run smoothly. This includes providing daily support to victims, coordinating emergency shelter during disasters and crises (Emergency Shelter), and implementing national policy changes within your team. You are firmly established in your role and know how to guide change in a motivating way. Together with the other team leaders within the Amsterdam-Amstelland District Management Team, you continuously work to improve our services.

In addition, you maintain close contact with partners in the care network, such as the police, the Sexual Violence Center, and local governments. You understand the importance of collaboration and ensure that all parties involved are well-coordinated. Thanks to your dedication, we are able to provide assistance that is both professional and effective, and that meets the needs of our clients.

This is what it's all about

You’ll have a responsible and dynamic role, and we offer a competitive benefits package in return. Such as:

  • A one-year contract with the possibility of renewal.
  • Training opportunities and access to the Skills Town learning platform.
  • A personalized benefits package: 26 additional hours of leave, 8% vacation pay, and an 8.3% year-end bonus—all yours to use as you see fit.
  • An NS business card, for business travel in second class.
  • An individual career budget.
  • A customized onboarding program lasting at least six months.

Who are you?

You are a collaborative and decisive leader who empowers people, ensures the quality of our services, and drives their continuous improvement. Through your leadership, you motivate the team, foster professional growth, and ensure effective collaboration between staff and volunteers. Here’s what you bring to the table:

  • A completed associate’s or bachelor’s degree, preferably in the social sciences. Management experience is preferred.
  • An affinity for managing volunteers and working in a dynamic and hybrid environment.
  • Customer- and results-oriented
  • The ability to persuade and make decisions to facilitate, strengthen, and foster the continued development of your team.
