More about this organization
Three employees of Victim Support Netherlands smile warmly in a modern office setting.

A victim of abuse who receives appropriate compensation. A team that works together seamlessly in a pleasant work environment. And an organization that combines legal expertise with personal attention, ensuring that every victim receives the help they deserve. As a Legal Services Team Leader, you play a crucial role in providing legal support to victims. With your leadership and expertise, you ensure that your team works effectively, with dedication, and is well-prepared. Apply today and make a difference.

This will be your job

As a team leader, you will manage a team of legal professionals and ensure efficient and effective workflows. You monitor the quality of legal advice and support and ensure that victims receive the help they need. In addition, you coach your team members, support them with complex cases, and create a safe work environment where everyone can grow. You give every colleague the freedom to shape their own role.

You will work closely with internal and external partners to improve legal processes and optimize service delivery. A key part of your work involves the ZSM team (Careful, Fast, and Tailored), where you will collaborate with partners in the justice system, such as the police, the Dutch Probation Service, the Public Prosecution Service, Halt, and Veilig Thuis.

Your team advocates for victims’ rights and advises the Public Prosecutor on appropriate measures. Through your leadership and dedication, you ensure that the legal services provided by Victim Support Netherlands remain professional, accessible, and effective.

This is what it's all about

You provide guidance to a team that plays an invaluable role in the initial contact. Your work matters, and that’s why you’ll receive:

  • A one-year contract with an option to extend;
  • Training opportunities and access to the Skills Town learning platform.
  • A personalized budget: 26 additional hours of leave, 8% vacation pay, and an 8.3% year-end bonus—to be used however you like. (Based on a 36-hour workweek)
  • An NS business card, for business travel in second class.
  • An individual career budget.

Who are you?

You are a dedicated and goal-oriented leader with strong legal acumen and a deep commitment to helping others. You know how to motivate a team, streamline processes, and ensure quality. Here’s what you bring to the table:

  • A completed associate’s degree, preferably in Law or Social Legal Services, and experience in a managerial role.
  • Experience managing volunteers and paid staff and working in an environment where the ability to adapt quickly is essential.
  • A customer- and results-oriented mindset, persuasiveness, and decisiveness to strengthen your team and improve processes.
