Vivell is a comprehensive community organization dedicated to serving residents of Amsterdam Zuidoost and the surrounding area. We provide information, advice, support, and a wide range of activities. Our work focuses on children, youth, and adults, helping them grow and actively contribute to their community. Wellness Manager

32–36 hours per week

What will you be doing?

As Welfare Manager at Vivell, you will play a key role in promoting social impact and the well-being of residents in Amsterdam Zuidoost and the surrounding area. You will have final responsibility for various policy areas and organizational units and will play a crucial role in the development of our strategic policy. You translate this policy into concrete organizational objectives and budgets, closely monitoring developments in the social sector and turning new opportunities into a strengthened position for our organization. You ensure that our services seamlessly align with both the short- and long-term needs of residents and stakeholders, with a constant focus on quality.

In addition to your strategic responsibilities, you will closely monitor financial targets and proactively make adjustments when necessary. You will lead a team of three team leaders, a team of four Quality and Development staff members, and employees focused on programs and projects. Through your leadership, you will support them in achieving results and setting priorities. You will maximize your team’s talents and encourage their professional growth and ability to work independently.

In addition, you continuously work to strengthen our relationship with the City of Amsterdam—Zuidoost district—and our extensive network of professional partners.

In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and be part of the management team. You will have the opportunity to provide strategic direction and make a real difference within our organization and the community.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

We are looking for a motivated professional with at least a relevant associate’s degree and demonstrable work experience. In addition, you must have:

  • A strong commitment to the social sector, with expertise in areas such as child welfare, youth work, adult services, and poverty prevention.
  • Experience in change management and the ability to initiate and consolidate change.
  • You are a natural connector who effortlessly bridges the gap between different stakeholders.
  • An enterprising organization that responds quickly to new developments.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial expertise.
  • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
