People-centered leadership with a tangible impact!
Are you an experienced leader with a vision for the social sector? Do you want to help build strong communities where everyone can participate? At DOCK, you’ll have the opportunity to drive meaningful change right in the heart of the city, close to the people.
We are looking for a Cluster Manager in Central Amsterdam who thinks strategically, provides clear direction, and—together with the team leaders—leads teams that make a difference in the neighborhood every day.
DOCK has been active in metropolitan areas for over 25 years. Guided by the belief that everyone belongs, we work to promote social cohesion, resilience, and equal opportunities. Our professionals connect people, organizations, and ideas with courage, dedication, and a keen understanding of the realities on the ground in the neighborhood.
In an era of growing complexity and polarization, we are reinventing our approach. DOCK is transitioning into an agile, forward-looking organization that remains firmly rooted in local practice. We are looking for someone to join us in further building our organization and the vital social work we do. As a Cluster Manager, you will be a key link in this transformation.
As a Cluster Manager, you will lead team leaders and, indirectly, social workers (child welfare workers, youth workers, and community workers), administrators, and volunteers within your cluster (Amsterdam Center). You will translate policy goals into concrete action, focus on quality, results, and innovation, and foster a culture of ownership and professional development.
Externally, you will participate in the alliance of core functions and other professional networks relevant to the assignment. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, striking and maintaining a good balance between professionalism and partnership with the municipality.
You:
You are an experienced, people-oriented, strategic leader with a keen eye for opportunities and quality. You know how to get people on board with initiatives and build bridges—including between policy, clients, politics, implementation, and the lives of residents.
Would you like to use your leadership skills to build a resilient society where everyone matters? If so, we’d love to meet you!
