First, send us your resume. If we’re a good fit, you’ll receive an invitation for an initial in-person interview. This will be followed by a second interview. Sometimes, you’ll be asked to complete an assessment. Finally, we’ll discuss the terms of employment. If we’re both on board, we’ll become colleagues. Welcome to Victim Support Netherlands!

Victim Support Netherlands has 25 branch offices and 45 consultation locations throughout the Netherlands. Our headquarters in Utrecht houses our administrative departments, such as HR, Finance, and IT. At our locations throughout the Netherlands, our volunteers are joined by case managers, district managers, and team leaders, among others. With a large team of paid staff, volunteers, and interns across the country, we provide practical, legal, and psychosocial support to victims and their loved ones. Victim Support Netherlands is always close by.

Before you start at Victim Support Netherlands, you’ll complete a variety of training courses so that you’re well-prepared to begin your work. Of course, your immediate colleagues will provide you with thorough on-the-job training. In addition, you’ll receive an individual career budget that you can use for professional development.

Our organization offers a variety of opportunities designed to support your well-being and long-term employability. For example, you have an individual career budget that you can use for personal and professional development. You can also further your professional development through our own Victim Support Academy. The Well-being Working Group is actively engaged in promoting well-being and regularly organizes activities. And every district has an employee dedicated to preventing absenteeism.

Volunteering at Victim Support Netherlands takes four to six hours a week. During that time, you’ll support victims, consult with your team, or carry out tasks on your own. This means you can volunteer at Victim Support Netherlands alongside a paid job or while you’re in school!
