Since 2013, HNTjong has been producing performances for children and young people under the artistic direction of Noël Fischer. As of January 2023, we are seeking an inspiring executive director with organizational skills who can oversee HNTjong’s internal operations and, in collaboration with the artistic director, help bring our artistic plans to fruition.
The National Theater is seeking a Business Manager for HNTjong (32–38 hours per week). The National Theater is a national theater organization for adults and young people with three theaters of its own in The Hague: the Koninklijke Schouwburg, Theater aan het Spui, and Zaal 3. We see the theater as the ultimate place to explore our times and share the stories we encounter with our audience. Theater as a vibrant hub of imagination and connection, a space that welcomes everyone and gives voice to all perspectives. We produce approximately 15 shows annually, present over 800 performances, and welcome 450,000 visitors in The Hague and across the country.
In our own productions, we work with experienced directors and actors from our ensemble, but we also give young actors and creators a chance to shine. We love innovative ways of producing and presenting theater for our audience. We are radically friendly, friendly and radical, constantly curious, active, and engaged.
HNTjong occupies a unique position within the Dutch theater landscape. As a youth theater company operating within an “adult” theater producer with a robust and dynamic Education & Interaction department, HNTjong is able to realize productions and projects that few other youth theater companies can undertake. Various creators and (guest) directors develop their careers within HNTjong. We produce an average of six productions per season, including co-productions and collaborations: ranging from large-scale productions with a national tour to local classroom projects.
