Stroomversnellers is a nonprofit that has been supporting NGOs, labor unions, advocacy groups, and community organizations with training and strategic advice since 2013. We believe in effective, sustainable activism: well-organized and rooted in the community. Following a period of growth and internal restructuring, we are seeking a business coordinator to take charge of the organizational and business aspects of the foundation. We are looking for someone who maintains an overview, cares for people, and strengthens our work organization in a way that aligns with our values.
As a business coordinator, you will be part of the support team (permanent staff) and work closely with colleagues in the areas of communications, training, and finance. You will serve as the link between the team, the board, funding sources, and external partners.
You will be ultimately responsible for the following areas:
You will monitor the budget, keep track of income and expenses, and work toward healthy financial growth.
You will coordinate the fundraising process, submit grant applications, and provide financial and program-related accountability to funders and partners.
You will develop and maintain work structures, ensure a safe and pleasant work environment, and establish clear roles within the team. You will be responsible for implementing HR policies (feedforward meetings, contract management, absence management, payroll, and insurance) and will collaborate with the board on HR policies and protocols.
You will oversee the policy cycle, ensure that the right information is available in a timely manner, and regularly coordinate with the board. You will maintain an overview of our planning and processes, ensuring their feasibility and coherence. You will actively involve colleagues, our trainers, and the board in developing and refining our organizational strategy.
