Cappella

Amsterdam stages about fifteen productions each season, both old and new

choral music, with a total of approximately sixty concerts in venues both large and small

concert halls in the Netherlands and abroad. The choir consists of between 12 and 36

singers, depending on the production. There are five employees working in the office.

In addition to its own productions, there is close collaboration with the

The Eighteenth-Century Orchestra and its co-productions with many Dutch

ensembles and orchestras. Cappella regularly gives concerts abroad and

collaborates in a multidisciplinary manner with companies and organizations such as Holland

Festival and Dutch National Opera & Ballet. In collaboration with Pentatone

New recordings by Cappella Amsterdam are released almost every year.

Cappella

Amsterdam receives ongoing support from the Performing Arts Fund and the

Amsterdam Fund for the Arts. The organization’s offices are located in the

The Board of Cappella Amsterdam

consists of five members and meets about four or five times a year. The

The board is responsible for achieving the objectives of the

board; it establishes policy and monitors its implementation and the board

have ultimate responsibility for the finances and the continuity of the

foundation. Day-to-day management is handled by the executive director, who

The chairperson is appointed for the term specified in the
