Since 2020, the ACCT (Cultural and Creative Future Labor Market) platform has been working to improve the labor market position of workers in the cultural and creative sector. Through programs such as fairPACCT, Werktuig PPO, Oog voor Impuls, Long Live Giving and digiPACCT we work with social partners, government agencies, and industry organizations to improve working conditions, promote sustainable employability, and enhance earning potential for all workers in the sector.
In a short period of time, we have grown into a well-known and respected player in the cultural and creative sector. Fellow organizations, professionals, and service providers view us as a reliable partner that facilitates dialogue and delivers results. The recognition we received on January 1, 2025, with our inclusion in the Basic Cultural Infrastructure (BIS), confirms this position.
The board is seeking a new chairperson, effective January 1, 2026, who can help shape the next phase of our development through their ability to bring people together and their strong leadership skills.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference for creators, artists, and creative professionals, and to help build a more sustainable labor market. As chair of Platform ACCT, you will contribute to the long-term strengthening of the labor market and the financial security of workers in the cultural and creative sectors.
The chairperson is taking the helm at a pivotal moment. The ACCT platform is firmly established, but the coming years will require consolidation and renewal:
The board consists of representatives of employees, employers/clients, and partners, along with an independent chairperson. The chairperson plays a key role: creating space for different perspectives and ensuring that the focus remains on the goals of Platform ACCT.
This is a role for someone who thrives on leading processes where diverse interests converge. For someone who finds it both exciting and rewarding to help stakeholders rise above their own positions and forge a shared agenda. And for those who enjoy chairing a dynamic board within an organization that delivers results and will have a significant impact on the future of the sector in the coming years. The 2025 Annual Plan and the 2024 Annual Report can be found here.
The chairperson we are looking for:
Knowledge of labor market issues and/or experience with social partners is an asset but not required. Independence is essential: the chairperson has no current ties to worker or employer organizations or interest groups in the sector.
The position requires an average of one day per month. The board meets approximately 6 to 7 times a year. The chairperson prepares the meetings together with the director and the board secretary and represents Platform ACCT at relevant gatherings. The chairperson also leads the Participants’ Council: an advisory body composed of representatives from the field that advises the board and the director on the substantive direction and activities of Platform ACCT.
