ArtEZ University of the Arts is a leading arts university offering a wide range of programs in music, visual arts, design, theater, dance, and teacher training, with campuses in Arnhem, Zwolle, and Enschede. ArtEZ combines world-class education and research with strong regional ties and intensive collaboration with partners outside ArtEZ. ArtEZ cherishes the diversity of art and society and contributes to the development of artists, designers, performers, teachers, and researchers who make a meaningful impact—locally, nationally, and internationally. ArtEZ offers 28 bachelor’s programs that rank among the top in the HO Study Guide. Furthermore, the most recent NSE survey shows that students highly value our education and guidance. Finally, without exception, ArtEZ’s programs meet the quality standards of the NVAO—results that inspire confidence and for which we can be both grateful and proud.
The ArtEZ Executive Board consists of a chair and a member who lead the organization through collaborative governance. The mission for the coming years is clear: to strengthen the foundation of education and research, to further develop a shared vision and strategic direction, and to build an organization centered on trust, social safety, inclusion, and connection. Together, the board members provide direction for a diverse, innovative organization that firmly establishes its position, embraces differences, fosters collaboration, and empowers students and staff to realize their potential.
We are looking for two experienced and inspiring board members who complement each other and form a strong team. Board members who:
The chairperson’s role focuses more on education and research, strategy, external relations, and engagement with the employee representative body.
