Chairperson

We are looking for an enthusiastic chairperson who:

• Responsible for establishing and developing the foundation for the Cultural Center in Berkel Centrum West, “Stichting Cultuurhuis Casa Cadanza”;
• Endorses the draft articles of incorporation of the foundation currently being established;
• Is familiar with the Cultural Governance Code, the Diversity & Inclusion Code, and the Fair Practice Code, and actively applies these codes;
• is eager to utilize and expand his/her network to actively connect businesses and social organizations with the foundation;
• Demonstrable leadership experience in a social or cultural context;
• A strategic thinker and connector is;
• Available for at least 2 hours per week;
• An inspirer is someone who can guide the development of an organization during its growth phase;
• Ideally, a leader with extensive experience in building and managing organizations;
• Can serve as a spokesperson at the administrative level of the network and the municipality.

Quality is the top priority for this position, but it is an advantage if you have an extensive network within the municipality of Lansingerland and the surrounding area. This includes the broader cultural sector, the business community, the social sector, the library world, and politics.

What do we offer?

• The opportunity to play a meaningful role in the municipality of Lansingerland for this unique new cultural center.
• A financial allowance for the Chairperson of up to €3,000 per year.

Casa Cadanza Organization
In the initial phase, the chairperson helps establish the foundation. In the subsequent phase, following the establishment of the Supervisory Board model, the focus shifts to overseeing the day-to-day management.

• You serve as the point of contact, employer, and supervisor for the director of the Casa Cadanza Foundation.
• Together, you see opportunities to turn this community center into a successful organization.
• You can do this by working together to develop and implement an appropriate strategy.
• The board will eventually consist of a secretary, a treasurer, and one or more board members. You will select and appoint candidates for these positions.

General Information: Casa Cadanza
The Municipality of Lansingerland is building a brand-new cultural center, Casa Cadanza, which will be located in the heart of Berkel Centrum West.

Casa Cadanza Cultural Center will be a place where culture is experienced in the broadest sense of the word. With two movie theaters, a multipurpose theater, classrooms, dining facilities, and a library, it will become the cultural heart of Berkel Centrum West.

Casa Cadanza is a place where connection and wonder take center stage. It is an inclusive space where everyone feels at home and enjoys spending time, and a place that sparks curiosity. Groundbreaking for Casa Cadanza will take place in 2023. The center is expected to open its doors to all visitors in 2025.

Before the grand opening, the Casa Cadanza Cultural Center Foundation is working with the Oostland Library and other social and cultural partners to develop a high-quality and diverse program. The challenge is to create an engaging mix of original programming and collaborations with the cultural center’s users and partners.
