Heemzicht specializes in experience-oriented care. We focus on the well-being and quality of life of our clients, believing that this significantly enhances their quality of life. Together, we work to create an environment where both clients and staff feel at home and can thrive. With our strategy “Thinking & Acting in Terms of Possibilities,” we continuously strive for innovation and quality improvement in elder care, in response to changes and challenges in the healthcare landscape.
Our mission is to ensure the highest possible quality of life for our clients. We achieve this through a personalized approach that places the wishes and needs of each individual client at the center. Our goal is not merely to provide care, but to create an environment where clients feel truly understood and valued. What sets Heemzicht apart is the deep-rooted belief that care goes beyond offering services and facilities; it is a matter of the heart. This belief is embedded in the corporate culture, where employees are encouraged to work with compassion and connection. There is a strong sense of community, where the focus is not only on the connection between clients and caregivers, but also on the relationships among employees. Heemzicht invests in the well-being of its team through development opportunities and by fostering an open and inclusive work environment. This contributes to a positive work atmosphere in which everyone feels valued.
Heemzicht recently launched its ambitious strategy, “Thinking & Acting in Terms of Possibilities,” with the goal of innovating and improving elder care by proactively responding to clients’ needs and changes within the healthcare landscape. This strategy encompasses various projects and initiatives focused on technological innovation, community care, quality improvement, and enhancing clients’ well-being. Our vision for the future includes growth and the continued development of elder care, always with a focus on quality and innovation. As a relatively small organization, we achieve this through close collaboration with volunteers and other stakeholders in our service area.
Heemzicht has a single-person board (executive director) that leads the organization. Heemzicht’s Supervisory Board oversees the board’s policies and the general course of business within the organization. This also includes monitoring the financial health and the quality of the care provided. We do this through critical and constructive dialogue. The Supervisory Board also oversees the integrity and ethical aspects of the board’s policies and actions. This includes attention to sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and the interests of all stakeholders, such as policies aimed at increasing client satisfaction and employee well-being. In this way, the Supervisory Board contributes to a sustainable future for Heemzicht within an ever-changing healthcare landscape.
In carrying out its duties, the Supervisory Board adheres to the Healthcare Governance Code 2022. The Board of Trustees consists of four members and a chairperson. The composition of the Board of Trustees is based on diversity and complementarity in knowledge, experience, and background. In particular, members must possess knowledge of the healthcare landscape and healthcare quality, a connection to the client council and the Works Council, and expertise in finance and operations. In addition, there must be sufficient governance experience within the Supervisory Board. All members must combine strategic insight with a commitment to and vision for the future of healthcare. Members are expected to have both a passion for healthcare and sharp analytical skills. The following applies to all members of our Supervisory Board:
We are seeking two members for our Supervisory Board: one with a background in finance and business administration and one with a background in real estate.
We are seeking inspiring and dynamic candidates for the two open positions on our Supervisory Board. For both positions, we are looking for candidates with extensive governance experience.
For the position requiring a finance and business administration background, we are seeking candidates with extensive experience in finance and strategic management. You are able to assess the balance between policy and resources, including from a long-term perspective. You have experience with risk management. You are preferably familiar with the various funding streams within the healthcare sector that Heemzicht offers, or are able to quickly familiarize yourself with them. You keep up with professional developments in digitization, AI, and data management.
For the position with a real estate focus, we are seeking candidates with a broad background in real estate. You have experience with real estate financing and sustainability issues and are skilled at thinking in terms of scenarios. Preferably, you also have experience with healthcare real estate.
For both roles, we are seeking candidates with extensive supervisory experience. You have a keen understanding of governance roles and the associated decision-making processes and are able to work with fellow Supervisory Board members to develop the assessment framework and professionalize the Supervisory Board. After both candidates have joined, the Supervisory Board will discuss which of the members will assume the role of Chair of the Supervisory Board.
Do you recognize yourself in any of these profiles and are you motivated to contribute to the future of high-quality elder care in the Hoekse Waard region? If so, we invite you to apply.
The Supervisory Board determines the remuneration of its members within the legal framework established by the Senior Executives’ Remuneration Act. The remuneration is disclosed in the annual report.
