With hip-hop as its guiding principle, ISH Dance Collective has been bringing street culture and the performing arts together for 25 years. Our dance performances form the core of our work, in collaboration with organizations such as the Dutch National Ballet, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, and the Jakop Ahlbom Company, as well as theaters including Meervaart, Carré, and DeLaMar. ISH tours nationally and internationally. We invest in a new generation of creators and performers through ISH Talent, ISH Community, and ISH Academy.
ISH is led by an executive director, who, together with the artistic director, forms the management team.
The Board of Trustees functions as a team with complementary skills and perspectives, representing a variety of backgrounds. The Board oversees the management’s strategy and policies, the execution of governance tasks, and the general conduct of the foundation’s affairs. Each year, the Board of Trustees approves the annual budget and financial statements, and once every four years, the multi-year policy plan and multi-year budget. In addition, the Board of Trustees serves as a sounding board for the Executive Director. The Board of Trustees also contributes its expertise and network. The Board of Trustees adheres to the Cultural Governance Code and maintains a healthy balance between engagement and professional distance.
The members of the Supervisory Board are actively engaged, possess the necessary expertise, and take the time to fulfill their roles effectively. They share a commitment to ISH’s mission and activities and are able to engage with both the Executive Board and one another in a critical and reflective manner. A broad network of relevant contacts supports their supervisory role, as does their willingness and enthusiasm to represent ISH at formal and informal events. The atmosphere within the Board of Trustees is engaged, constructive, and informal.

You have broad knowledge and experience in the field of marketing and communications, a relevant professional network, and insight into the latest technological developments in this field. In addition, you can analyze financial figures and risks and translate them into strategic advice. You will serve on the Audit Committee.
