An overview of the organization
The Veluwezoom School Group is a foundation providing public elementary education in the municipalities of Rheden and Rozendaal. The foundation comprises 11 elementary schools, including one for special education, and serves an average of 1,800 students annually. It achieves this with a staff of approximately 175 dedicated and enthusiastic employees. All schools within the Veluwezoom School Group have the freedom to implement the shared vision in a way that suits their school, and they are forward-looking: they develop based on an ambition plan tailored to their environment, students, parents, and partners. They adopt a clear educational concept based on refining the Scholengroep’s mission: future-oriented education, the “I-you-we” vision, and fostering curiosity are developed and implemented in their own unique ways.
The Veluwezoom School Group is a network organization both internally and externally—a school group that continually shapes its identity together and is an attractive employer in the region. The Veluwezoom School Group views curiosity as a driving force for learning and development. Its public identity is expressed through “ikjijwij,” which stands for ownership, for self-aware and solution-oriented collaborative development, building, and learning. At the Veluwezoom School Group, we work in education and on educational quality in a way that is both unifying and connected, within a professional culture. The “ikjijwij” vision reflects the inclusive and open manner in which the group operates as a learning organization.
