The Projects team consists of project managers, consultants, and support staff who work on the spatial development of Bergen, Uitgeest, Castricum, and Heiloo. They deliver expert work that is fast, results-oriented, flexible, and of the highest quality. As the Projects Team Manager, you will lead the team in an inspiring manner, ensuring that we work professionally on the municipalities’ spatial planning challenges. You are the face of the Projects Team and play a decisive role in shaping the strategy and direction of this division.
Your main responsibilities are:
As a team manager, you are ultimately responsible for achieving the business results. You actively maintain your network of clients—both executive and administrative—within and outside BUCH.
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll be working alongside the Spatial Development Domain Manager and the other six team managers in the Spatial Development domain, as well as with and within the other domains. Together with the entire organization, you’ll be working to create livable, vibrant, and sustainable communities in Bergen, Uitgeest, Castricum, and Heiloo. You’ll ensure that every member of your team understands how they contribute to this mission.
You work for four municipalities, all under one organization. Your responsibilities are partly outlined in the coalition programs of the four municipalities. You adhere to the various budgets and service agreements. And your team’s direction aligns with that of the organization.
To succeed in this role, you need a clear vision of project management. You combine vision and leadership with a willingness to foster creativity. You are a unifying force, energetic, approachable, and a source of inspiration. You have a strong personality and the ability to position the Projects team and project-based work within BUCH with authority, decisiveness, and a keen understanding of the relationships involved.

Activities within the spatial development domain are divided into three themes: economy, environment, and climate. You will work in a new team consisting of seven team managers and a domain manager. You will contribute to the development of a beautiful area featuring beaches, dunes, and lakes. You’ll also help shape the work organization, which includes a total of about 850 colleagues. You’ll have a lot of freedom to shape your role according to your own ideas, develop yourself, and grow personally.
