Would you like to lead a team of passionate professionals who are dedicated to helping families in the city of Utrecht every day? Then this is your chance. Lokalis is looking for a team manager who is a great communicator and focused on professional development.
Since 2015, Lokalis, together with its approximately 400 employees, has been dedicated to providing support to young people and families in Utrecht in a unique and innovative way. In this way, Lokalis helps strengthen the resilience and problem-solving skills of the families in question, ensuring that children can grow up healthy and safe and reach their full potential. The requests for help that come to Lokalis concern parenting, financial security, coping with a disability, mental health issues, divorce, domestic violence, debt, and more.
The organization’s primary objective is to use neighborhood teams to help create stable family environments or facilitate lasting improvements for families in need. Within this framework, Lokalis focuses specifically on the development of children and young people.
Lokalis has eighteen neighborhood teams spread across Utrecht’s ten neighborhoods. In addition, there are two city-wide teams dedicated to secondary schools and vocational schools.
Our family workers provide accessible, effective support to children, youth, and families. They do this within the community and in collaboration with schools, family doctors, youth services, and other partners.
As a team manager, you will facilitate and provide guidance to two teams. Together with your fellow team managers, the directors, and staff, you will work on the implementation of basic social services and contribute to change initiatives within Lokalis and the city. You will have overall responsibility for your team, overseeing day-to-day management, professional development, and results.
You actively contribute to the professional development of team leadership within Lokalis. You encourage collaboration both within and outside your team and help bridge the gap between day-to-day operations and organization-wide goals.
You play a key role in translating organizational policies into the practice of family work. This includes interpreting management information, improving processes, and optimizing the support and deployment of people, resources, and methods in family work.
You will also represent Lokalis in its collaboration with external partners such as the City of Utrecht, schools, and other partners in the community. This will primarily involve the substance of family work and the joint initiatives in the neighborhood where you are active.
We are looking for an experienced team manager who is enthusiastic, sharp, and visionary, and who wants to work with us to shape the future of primary care in Utrecht. You have experience with change management and approach your work with a warm, professional demeanor grounded in a shared vision.
You know how to get people on board with change, ask probing questions, identify areas of friction, and come up with concrete solutions that support the work of family workers.
In your letter and resume, we’d like to hear about your experience, your thoughts on the job requirements, and your motivation for this position at Lokalis.
